A few weeks ago, on our Beta servers, we have posted a Behind the Scenes announcement detailing some upcoming Tournament changes. Many of you have seen our video as well, and some have even played the Tournaments on Beta and have shared invaluable feedback with us. Today, we bring you more news on these changes, and what the next steps will be. Please note that the below changes will not be applied to the running Tournament. We are currently aiming to release the new Tournaments to Elvenar International (EN) on the 18th of August. This will allow us to extend the amount of people playing the new Tournaments greatly, as well as provide technical testing on a larger scale. The new Tournaments will not go to further Live worlds than EN for at least another 3 weeks after the start of the first new Tournament on EN. To ensure that our development team is available during the start of the Tournament, the first Tournament in the new system will start at 15:00 CEST instead of 19:00 CEST.įor those of you who haven't played the new Tournaments on Beta yet, or haven't seen the changes, please have a look at the full details listed below. Tournament Encounters are now played directly from the World Map.To achieve this, the 4 Encounters per Tournament Province have been merged into 1 Province Encounter, combining the efforts of 4 Encounters into just 1. This also means that the Goods required for Catering, and the Units faced in Battle have been scaled up accordingly, to keep the general requirements of each Province comparable while having only one Encounter. The Balancing of Tournaments was reworked completely, aiming to allow for an easier entry into Tournaments and better Tournament contribution from new players, while maintaining an interesting challenge for more advanced players.Tournament difficulty is no longer determined solely by Squad Size, but rather by a series of progression factors, which involve city development and research in general.#Elvenar gems province tournaments series The difficulty of a Tournament province no longer exclusively increases for each level in the Tournament, but now also with each Province, providing a steady increase in difficulty with each Province and level completed. #Elvenar gems province tournaments series.#Elvenar gems province tournaments full. The consequences are not just in the loss of relics but in what those relics provided. If I lose out on spire rewards then upgrades will take longer (less time boosters) with greater down time (loss of production) and the only way around this is to build more inefficient T3 manufactories which further depletes my resources. If I can't make enough T3 to complete the spire each week or clear 9 provinces then I lose out on rewards and more relics.
This means I have less resource flexibility.
I understand that it evens out and I can see the benefits of the change but also note that the loss now will have ongoing detrimental effects because I have to compensate for under performing T3. Were we to eliminate the duplicate values, and. The following chart presents raw data, so some of the possible costs are missing, while others are repeated. The increase in T1 and T2 boosts do not compensate for that loss. Theres strong evidence that the Negotiation Costs, for each sector, INDEPENDENTLY use the same linear spread as the Troop Strength. It will take nearly 2 months to gain the relics I lost because of this change. Next tournament MD will move to province 2 which will give me 11 relics, the tourney after that will give me 13 and so on. Under the old system I would have gained 105 MD relics (7 provinces x 6 rounds), giving a boost of 547% (and 1 relic shy of the next level 557%).
Oh, and that is with doing about 4000 points per tournament for a while now. At the rate I have been collecting them, with this new change, I am wondering if I will make it permanently over 500 relics for max boost by the time this city reaches chapter 20. My Beta city just started chapter 13 and Dust will become my T3 Ascended boost, but I am still under 300 Dust relics. I know there are players out there who have a 0 cooldown for the tournament, between the Polar Bear and Timewarp, but are any of them on here and have already run through all 6 stars, to get a count of total relics per province? 5 stars in 10 provinces is also 2100 points, or 2700 if you do all 6 stars, so well more than the 1600 to be a full participant in a 10-chest fellowship that has 25 members. There are no 3-star enemies until province 11.ĭoing the first 10 provinces gets you 2 provinces for the current relic and 1 province for each of the other 8. I know a lot of people are not sure to be upset or not about the changes, but just a small reminder that the first 10 provinces are the easiest to complete when fighting, because all the enemies are either 1-star or 2-star.
